A UV-based air decontamination solution that is unique in France
The microbiological and chemical air decontamination in commercial spaces and industrial workshops is essential for ensuring clean air and preventing contamination that could directly impact your business.
As we know, microorganisms and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are far more prevalent in enclosed spaces, and without an appropriate solution, the human and economic consequences for businesses can be catastrophic: spoiled products, hospital-acquired infections, the flu… The main challenge for businesses is often finding a solution capable of treating their entire facility. The larger the total volume, the greater the technical challenge, as systems with this kind of capacity are often expensive and very large.
In this regard, Photoclean offers professionals a truly unique service: we come to your facilities—in France and throughout the rest of Europe—to provide you with a comprehensive UV decontamination solution that perfectly addresses your specific challenges. Unlike many other providers, we don’t just sell you equipment—we provide you with a detailed report to help you achieve optimal air quality, including layout plans.
Above all, we ensure that our air decontamination system can be installed quickly, with little to no modification to your original setup.
Did you know?
Photoclean is the only company in France capable of continuously processing tens of thousands of cubic meters. For this reason, we have become a leading player in the industrial sector, and many factories rely on our services every year.
Benefits
The Benefits of Our UV Air Purifiers
Photoclean technology is based on the innovative application of the principle of photolysis: this chemical reaction oxidizes microorganisms and VOCs using UV-C radiation, in combination with a specialized filter medium developed and manufactured exclusively by us.
UV-C rays have been known for a century now for their decontamination properties, but until recently they were used primarily for water decontamination. In fact, for effective disinfection, the entire volume of air in a room must be in prolonged contact with the UV disinfection lamps the air, and this must occur several times per hour.
However, because UVC lamps have a very short range, their use for air decontamination proved ineffective. The only effective solution was conventional air treatment usingHEPA filters, which resulted in very bulky units that were particularly energy-intensive and expensive to purchase and install.
To address this problem, Photoclean has developed a specialized filter medium that increases the efficiency of UV lamps tenfold. Thanks to this, we have developed a line of devices that provide continuous air purification, leaving very few dead zones, with very low pressure drops and, consequently, very compact dimensions and low energy consumption.
The result: efficiency ranging from 95 to 97 percent, along with ergonomic, energy-efficient purification modules and air handling units designed to combat biocontamination and chemical compounds.
Product Line
A range of appliances to fit any space
All units in the Photoclean UV air purifier line offer the advantage of continuously destroying contaminants without disrupting your operations. No chemicals are released into the air, so there is no need to evacuate the premises.
Our systems also operate completely autonomously, with the exception of annual maintenance, and our team can come to show you how to adjust the units once they’ve been commissioned.
Our product lines include:
- Standalone air decontamination units (fixed or portable) designed to be mounted on the ceiling, placed on the floor, or set on a piece of furniture.
- Universal air purifiers compatible with all air handling units and ductwork systems. This allows you to replace stale air with purified air and prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria in enclosed spaces.
- Versatile treatment units that not only perform air decontamination but also control humidity, extract stale air, and maintain positive or negative pressure in the premises…
- High-efficiencyair handling units(AHUs) equipped with Photoclean air purifiers.
All of our products are manufactured in our workshops in the Rhône-Alpes region. Following the on-site audit at your facility, we will guide you toward specific models from our catalog that we can customize to suit your needs.
Dimensions, flow rate, material… All the features of our units can be customized to ensure they integrate seamlessly—both technically and aesthetically—into your space.
Expertise
Experts in industrial air treatment dedicated to supporting your business
Each industry has its own specific constraints and needs, which must be taken into account when selecting an air purifier.
In the bakery and pastry industry, for example, it is important to continuously perform air decontamination between the oven exit and product packaging to prevent the risk of fungal contamination. The dairy and meat industries, meanwhile, are particularly susceptible to microbiological contamination and pathogens that are potentially hazardous to health, such as Salmonella, Listeria, and E. coli.
Controlling ethylene levels in the air is important to prevent premature ripening of fruits and vegetables, while wines are sensitive to chlorophenols and chloroanisoles (TCP, TCA), which can give wines cork taint.
Finally, the hospital setting requires specific measures to prevent nosocomial infections, and the pharmaceutical industry (like other sectors) uses cleanrooms to control cleanliness levels. Not to mention the service sector, where poor air quality can contribute to Sick Building Syndrome (SBS).
When you choose Photoclean, you can be sure you’re working with specialists in industrial air treatment who have extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of various industries and their specific needs.
Hospitals, laboratories, factories, production facilities, offices… We find the solution best suited to your needs and provide you with a detailed report following the audit conducted by our in-house engineering department—a report that goes beyond the simple issue of air decontamination and helps you identify the various challenges affecting your facilities.
Finally, Photoclean will contact your project manager to ensure a smooth and hassle-free installation of the air decontamination and treatment system.
