The pharmaceutical and/or cosmetics market is governed by two requirements:

Obligations of means: through standards and recommendations such as the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines
Performance-based obligations: by maintaining consistent production quality for its customers and under the supervision of regulatory agencies such as the FDA and AFSSAPS, which impose increasingly stringent manufacturing standards.

While cleanrooms help meet “regulatory” requirements, there are a significant number of facilities that are not subject to this type of recommendation.

These areas, such as packaging facilities, nevertheless require the lowest possible level of contamination, without needing to meet a specific ISO cleanliness class.

Other facilities, such as certain manufacturing areas, would benefit from a controlled dust level (ISO 8, for example) and a higher level of microbiological cleanliness without needing to modify all of their equipment.
