Problem Statement
The goal was to eliminate the heavy mold growth in the air of a 2,400 m³ tank room (walls, tanks, walkways, etc.). This mold was settling on all surfaces.
- Extensive and very regular maintenance.
- The lack of air purification leads to rapid fouling of the finned heat exchangers and a drop in airflow (an axial-flow fan has no pressure reserve).
- All of this leads to a reduction in air-to-water heat exchange, resulting in a rapid drop in performance, the inability to reach the target temperature, and air stratification.
Solution
Results
After the enclosures were installed, continuous air decontamination has eliminated all microorganisms from the air and has also ensured that no contamination has been detected on the walls since then, thereby freeing up the staff responsible for maintaining the facility.
Mold is destroyed—not merely filtered out—thereby minimizing the need for system maintenance (on average, once every two years).
