Photolysis, a recognized purification process
The use of a UV disinfection lamp is nothing new. These rays have the unique ability to eliminate microorganisms that come into contact with them. However, this treatment poses certain technical challenges:
- All of the ambient air must pass through the UV lamp several times an hour
- Microorganisms must remain in contact with the rays long enough to be eliminated.
- Because UV rays have a very short wavelength, sterilization is effective only within a radius of a few centimeters around the lamp
In practice, for large spaces, UV air sterilization required, until recently, the use of large, energy-intensive treatment modules. As a result, this solution was rarely adopted by companies.

Our process relies on the simultaneous use of a germicidal UV lamp and a proprietary filter medium placed nearby. This medium acts as a filter that traps bacteria, microorganisms, and VOCs (volatile organic compounds). These are then oxidized—and thus destroyed—by the UV rays.
The fibers in the media transmit the UV wave; 1 m² of media provides a surface area of 4,000 m². This technique circumvents the dual problem of UV wavelength and the exposure time of pollutants to these rays.
