HEPA Air Purifier and UV Decontamination:
Photoclean’s Dual Solution
Are you looking to install a HEPA air purifier in a business, school, or public space? Photoclean offers a two-part solution for continuous, effective air treatment.
As specialists in air decontamination, we have developed a range of UV-based air disinfection modules that can be paired with HEPA filters to fully comply with the health recommendations issued by official health agencies as part of the fight against COVID-19.

Why Use a HEPA Air Purifier in Offices and Public Spaces?
Air exchange is essential to ensuring good indoor air quality for both employees and visitors. In fact, stale indoor air is one of the primary sources of infection and contamination due to its high concentration of microorganisms and chemicals.
We may not necessarily realize it, but the human body expels an average of 5 million fine particles per minute while at rest, simply by breathing. These fine droplets cling to surfaces and the dust on them. When dust particles become dislodged, these numerous contaminants become suspended in the air and can even circulate from one room to another if the air conditioning operates in a closed-loop system—that is, without introducing “fresh” air from outside. If viruses (such as the flu or COVID-19) are present in the air, the risk of infection is consequently increased.
Purifying the air is therefore essential, not only in offices but also in schools, hospitals, and public spaces where there is no natural or mechanical ventilation, as well as during the off-season, when people tend to ventilate less than in the summer and use radiators, which are sources of fine particulate matter.
With regard to combating the COVID-19 pandemic, all official health agencies, such as the INRS, recommend using HEPA air purifiers with HEPA filters of at least H13 class that comply with the EN 1822-1 to effectively combat the spread of the virus, based on tests conducted, notably in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in schools. These same filters are used in hospitals to prevent nosocomial infections.

Photoclean has been manufacturing air purifiers for over 20 years and has established itself as a true leader in industrial air decontamination in France.
Far from being mere suppliers of air purification equipment, we offer customized solutions to our clients, whether they need to equip a factory, production facilities, offices, a laboratory, a hospital, or even a school.
When you engage our services, we come on-site to conduct a comprehensive audit of the premises. Based on the layout of the space, your specific needs, and the challenges you face, we design a customized action plan to ensure effective air treatment and air decontamination. We guide you toward the most suitable models from our lineup, custom-manufacture them in our workshops in the Lyon region, and provide you with layout plans to facilitate their installation.
As for our technology itself, PhotoClean air decontamination modules combine the disinfecting power of UV-C rays with a unique module we developed to continuously and directly eliminate microbiological and chemical contaminants, regardless of the size of the space, while consuming as little energy as possible. The entire air volume is treated several times per hour for optimal protection.
Our modules are available as standalone units (to be placed on the floor, on a piece of furniture, or mounted on a wall), as well as universal modules compatible with all air handling units. We can also provide air handling units that incorporate our UV modules as standard equipment, along with a HEPA filtration system to comply with current health and safety standards.
