Air Purifiers for the Food Industry: Discover the Photoclean Line
Air contamination in food industry facilities is a common problem that requires a targeted solution.
Due to the very nature of the activity and the confined nature of the facilities, microorganisms and chemical agents tend to circulate and can easily accumulate, with health and financial consequences that can be significant.
For this reason, Photoclean Quartz, a specialist in UV disinfection, offers a range of air purifiers for the food industry. But that’s not all: experts from our engineering department will visit your site and conduct an audit to provide you with a customized action plan tailored to the specific challenges and constraints of both your facilities and your operations.
Discover the benefits of an innovative solution designed specifically for you.
Is a HEPA air purifier suitable for the food industry?
An conventional air purifier continuously filters out fine particles and, by extension, the various contaminants that cling to them. This solution is effective, but it is also very energy-intensive and not always suitable for the food industry.
In fact, to filter the air so thoroughly, the purification system exerts high pressure on the air, resulting in a significant pressure drop that must be compensated for. This generally leads to high energy costs, as well as very large systems that require maintenance.
While this system is essential in pharmaceutical cleanrooms, where particle-level regulations are very strict, it appears ill-suited for the food industry, where the primary concern is controlling contaminants and cross-contamination.
Given that there is, on average, 1 contaminant for every 1,000 inert particles in a room, it’s clear that filtering out the inert particles is a waste of money!
Other solutions exist, such as surface decontamination using ozone, fumigation, or misting. These techniques can temporarily remove contaminants attached to surfaces, but are most effective for sanitizing premises before employees return. Contamination resumes as soon as operations resume.
But then, how can we directly tackle contaminants in workshops that sometimes cover very large areas or even entire buildings?
Photoclean UV Air Purifiers: Finally, a Solution Suited for the Food Industry
A French company specializing in industrial air decontamination, founded by former air treatment experts, Photoclean Quartz has been offering industries across numerous sectors—and particularly the food industry—customized solutions since 2005 to help them effectively combat, on a daily basis, contaminants that could threaten their production.
What is the greatest strength of our line of air purifiers for food industry facilities? Their technology allows them to directly target and eliminate microorganisms and VOCs circulating in the air—continuously… all with low pressure drop and around the clock, regardless of the volume of air to be treated.
Our industrial decontamination chambers and modules use the principle of photolysis to enable UV-C rays to eliminate contaminants with optimal efficiency, thanks to the addition of a unique medium developed and manufactured exclusively by us.
Our product line includes freestanding units that can be placed directly on the floor or mounted on a wall or ceiling, as well as modules for air handling units with universal frames or slide-in mounting to accommodate any configuration.
Personalized service for a customized solution tailored to your facilities
More than just equipment, Photoclean provides a detailed analysis of the issues in your facilities before proposing a customized action plan and a suitable air decontamination solution. In fact, it may be necessary to address other underlying issues before considering the installation of air purifiers.
The report we provide includes the models from our lineup that we recommend and the specific features of each unit (custom-built in our Lyon workshops), as well as a layout plan for easy installation by your maintenance team.
Would you like tailored support to effectively combat contamination in your factory or workshops? We’re here to help!
